Position: Emergency Medical Technician – Basic

General Summary:
Under the directions of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for administering efficient rapid, quality care and transport of patient in the emergency and non-emergency setting. 

Qualifications:
Must possess an ability to work along side of others in a stressful, fast-pace environment. A continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting weight greater than 50+ lbs.  Must be able to exercise sound judgment within general policies/procedures and protocols. Must possess good customer service skills and have the ability to read, write and understand English fluently and clearly.

Education/Certification:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas EMT-Basic Certification
Valid Texas Drivers License and satisfactory driving record

Position: Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic

General Summary:
Under the directions of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for administering efficient rapid, quality care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Qualification:
Must possess an ability to work along side of others in a stressful, fast-pace environment. A continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting weight greater than 50+ lbs.  Must be able to exercise sound judgment within general policies/procedures and protocols. Must possess good customer service skills and have the ability to read, write and understand English fluently and clearly.

Education/Certification
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas EMT-Paramedic Certification/Licensure
Valid Texas Drivers License and satisfactory driving record

Position: Medical Communications Controller

General Summary:
Under the direction of the Dispatch Supervisor, this position is responsible for receiving incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatching calls to the appropriate vehicles to assure optimal response times.  Relay patient medical history to and record all statistical information to be utilized for Monthly Management Reports.

Qualifications:
Must possess a strong background in medical terminology.  Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment within general policy and procedural guidelines.  Good typing skills, general computer knowledge, and be able to obtain an EMT-Basic and EMD certification within 1 year of employment.  Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills.  Must be able to speak and understand English fluently and clearly.

Education/Certification:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas Drivers License and satisfactory driving record
EMD Certification (preferred)
