Scott & White Emergency Medical Services
Scott & White EMS was established in 1988 as a non-emergency medical transport provider. In 1995 Scott & White EMS contracted with the City of Temple to provide all emergency transports for the citizens of Temple. Scott & White EMS provides service to the communities of:
- Temple
- Rogers
- Little River/Academy
- Holland, Bartlett
- Salado
- Nolanville
- Morgan’s Point Resort
- Troy
- Bruceville-Eddy
- Moody
Continuing the advanced care, Scott & White Memorial Hospital, a Temple Texas based hospital system and Community EMS, Inc. (CEMS) a not-for-profit ambulance service based in Southfield Michigan joined in creating a joint venture, Scott & White EMS, Inc. (SWEMS). SWEMS began operation in June 2008.
SWEMS is a community oriented provider that is dedicated to providing the citizen with the most advanced care. SWEMS provides medical care at community events such as:
- Central Texas Air Show
- Temple Blooming Festival
- Temple Senior Games
SWEMS is also actively involved in public safety education within the local school districts and provide sponsorship to local little league football.
In addition to employing quality, empathetic technicians, SWEMS has advanced the use of technology in the field with the use of Electronic Patient Care Reporting, 12 Lead Cardiac Monitoring, advanced IV medication with IV pump use and Pulmonetic Ventilators. SWEMS currently utilizes the RightCAD dispatching software for advanced call taking and dispatching purpose.
